HISTORY

1928: Hubert Frijns starts up his own blacksmith business in Heugem, a small village near Maastricht.

1954: In the meantime, the Heugem blacksmith has grown to become a flourishing steel construction company. The company relocates to Valkenburg aan de Geul and is renamed Staalbouw Frijns.

1992: A third generation of Frijns moves into new factory space and offices in Valkenburg.

1996: Staalbouw Frijns becomes Frijns Industrial Group consisting of Staalbouw Frijns BV, Frijns Belgium BVBA, Frijns Industrial GmbH and Frijns Venray BV.

2001: The Frijns Projects business unit is established in Valkenburg and the Frijns Plaatligger Produkties production unit is set up in Maastricht to focus on the manufacture of plate girders. This brings the total number of business units to four including Frijns Steel Construction in Valkenburg and Frijns Metaalwerken in Venray.

2009:Frijns Industrial Group opens a production facility in the Middle East: Frijns Structural Steel Middle East produces steel for the petrochemical and process industries including all associated engineering, production, anti-corrosion, construction and assembly work.
