From the 1st January 2013 until the second half of 2014, the production lines at VDL Nedcar are being converted and equipped for the production of the 3th generation of the famous MINI. VDL Nedcar in Born is the only large car factory in the Netherlands. The factory has a capacity for the production of approximately 200,000 cars per year, on the basis of two-shift operation.  The relationship with VDL Nedcar dates back to the ‘70s, when the DAF was still being produced.

Our client, the German AFT, has been commissioned to construct the “Hochregallager” (high-bay warehouse). The storage system operates as an economical solution for the storage of the MINI body shells. Our activities comprise the production, preservation and assembly of approx. 300 metric tons of metal structure. The hall has a surface area of 20x60x20 meters. In addition, we shall supply and assemble the roof- and wall cladding, concrete plinths and a sprinkler installation.
